Phonak Open Dome 4.0 M (Medium) is equipped with ventilation holes throughout the dome and therefore gives a very open feeling. You thereby avoid occlusion and at the same time experience an open feeling in the ears. Open domes are best for mild hearing loss, as the sound is brighter and less intense than the other types.

Replacement of the domes ensures optimal sound quality and prevents eczema and discomfort in the ears. Domes should be replaced at least every 2 weeks, or as needed.

GENERAL RULES: As a general rule, it is a good idea to change your Phonak domes over to fresh ones about once every 15 days or at most every month.

This is to help keep them clean and hygienic and to reduce the risk of wax and debris clogging up the small pores that are beneath the tiny silicone hood and compromising the hearing aid’s performance
