The information below is a walking cane size measurement method that is applicable to most cane users:

Put on your walking shoes, stand naturally upright as much as possible.Relax your arms all to the sides naturally with a normal relaxed bend at the elbow. Remaining still, have a second person measure the distance from your wrist joint (bottom crease at the wrist) down to the floor. Round up to the nearest one inch, this measurement is about the length of the cane you need.If getting an accurate measurement is difficult or impossible to do, there is a way to estimate the length needed. Take the users height in inches and divide by 2 and the length of cane you need will typically be within one inch of that number.
