Something You Need to Know

It is important to note there is an adjustment period when wearing new devices, and it takes time to get used to new PSAP, even if you’ ve worn some type of hearing aids for many years. If you are a newcomer, PSAP may even feel a bit odd at first on/in your ears, At the same time, give yourself time, your brain is just getting reacquainted with these sounds.

What Cause the Whistle?

Whistling may occur if the hearing instrument is turned on,but not securely seated in your ear.this is normal.the whistling will stop once the device is properly seated in your ear.other caused include a blockage of wax.or damaged ear piece or tubing,or excessive volume. Please take appropriate measures to stop the whistling.

Whistling is common for small amplifiers and is known as “Feedback”.it is caused by amplified sound from the hearing aids getting back to the micropphone and being re-amplified.The folloring tips will help reduce the occurrence of feedback whistle

Help with Whistling

1.Reduce the volume.

Turn off or lower the volume before inserting the instrument in your ear.

2.Securely position the instrument into your ear.

Q: What can hearing aids do for tinnitus?

A: Hearing aids amplify all sounds around you, you’ll notice a decrease in the amount of ringing you hear. the extra sound you’ll be able to hear with hearing aids will “mask” the ringing caused by Tinnitus.

Q: Why do my hearing aids whistle ?

A: Here are all of the common causes:

1.Too high volume – It can sometimes be tempting to turn up the volume on your hearing aids. Please turn down your hearing aid volume and avoid the point where the sound gets so loud that it creates feedback.

2. Hands, hair or other objects near your hearing aids will cause audio feedback. Please move them away and the whistling should be gone.

3. Improper ear dome size – we usually suggest moving up a size or two in order to block out feedback.

4. Too much earwax – If the ear canal is blocked by too much earwax, the sound can’t get through. So, it bounces back into your hearing aids and they start to whistle. Please clean the ear domes using paper towel and rubbing alcohol, while also making sure your ears are clean from earwax.

Q:How to Proper Care & Maintenance the hearing aids?

A:Here are some of the tips

1.Once a week (or more – up to you!) Always use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down your hearing aids’ interior and exterior.

2.Clean your ear domes with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel.

3.Keep your hearing aids clean and dry. Hearing aids constantly exposed to potentially damaging particles including lotions, hair sprays, rain, snow, earwax, dirt and dust.

Q:Why do my hearing aids have no sound?

A:Here are all of the common causes:

1.Check the hearing aid is switched on – please raise the volume using the dial at the back of your hearing aids until you reach a volume level you’re comfortable with.

2.Charge the battery – please make sure to charge your hearing aids fully before continuing to use them.

3.Dirt or ear wax may block the eardome and/or wax guard – clean both of your ear domes with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel, or remove them and clean them in warm and soapy water. If that doesn’t seem to help, please replace the wax guards.

Q:Why can’t I charge my hearing aids?

A:Here are all of the common causes:

1:Check if the charger box still has power.

2:If your charger box is not charged, please charge it fully first and then unplug the charger cable to observe whether your hearing aid is charged or not.

3:Check if your hearing aids are aligned with the charging port.If they are aligned with the charging port, the indicator light will keep green.
