Calcium Alginate Dressing is a calcium alginate wound dressing composed of calcium alginate, sodium alginate.
Calcium Alginate Dressing is made of natural fibers derived from seaweed, and is designed to be highly absorbent.
The dressing absorbs exudate and forms a protective layer of gel-like surface over the wound that supports a moist wound healing environment and keeps the dressing from adhering to the wound.
Scope of Application:
Calcium Alginate Dressing is suitable for moderate to severe exuding infected wounds or wounds with risk factors for infection, including: postoperative incisions, trauma wounds, lower extremity ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, skin grafts and donor sites, Cavity wounds, 2nd degree burns; this product is used to treat minor abrasions, lacerations, cuts, scalds and burns.
Notice: When alginate dressing is saturated with exudate, it needs to be replaced in time. When granulation tissue begins to form and exudate decreases, the number of dressing changes should be reduced accordingly.
